Okay... brand spankin new with the 8100 but I work in Telecom and deal with all the older BBs...

T-Mob 8100

1.) Although I am not paying for data service at the moment, does it always say "Data connection refused" on the phone? Shouldnt that be hidden? kinda lame.

2.) Where is the internet browser if I actually wanted to get charged for internet surfing? pay as I go

3.) Where is the Media Net service or whatever T-mob uses for me to download ringtones, change my ring back tones etc etc

4.) Where is this OZ Messenger that utilizes my Txt msgs rather than data service?

... just feels like something wasnt installed on my phone. I dunno.

I got my phone from letstalk.com

With unlimited data. (It wasn't until Tmobile "activated my phone" once that was done my phone *automatically* started downloading OZ messenger, blackberry browser,etc/etc.

My guess is you NEED data in order to get these feat.

It's not a phone. It's a BlackBerry. Without a BlackBerry Data Plan you don't get those features.
