Default Caller ID problems

Please Login to Remove!

I have the Blackberry 8100. The problem I am having is with Caller ID. When someone calls me even though I have the person's name in my contacts, their name does not appear all the time, only their number. This happens 8 out of 10 times. It happens randomly with names that have even showed up before. My provider is through T-Mobile and I have over 600 contacts. Is anyone else experiencing this same problem? If so, what have you done to correct the problem.

The only time I had this problem is when I had my home country code set to 1 for US. I'm in Iraq and have a bunch of Iraq phone numbers programed into my phone. And as long as I had my country code only as "1" all of the iraq numbers would show up as 0964790.......... I changed my country code to 964 and now all the names show up because I have the numbers stored as 0790.......... Look in your phone options under smart dialing and it should be in there. you can also set up the area code too.

If you have your addressbook encrypted and the phone is locked when its ringing it can't access the data to resolve the names. might not be your problem, but this is where you can check...

Options->security options-> Content Protection -> Include Address Book=NO
