is it safe to put alcohol on the led itself in case you'd like to change the color of the led again?

I bought a trackball color changer at handango.com for 5 dollars and i know where to download it for free. Use your pearls web browser and you have to type in a url that i know and you can manually download it without having to pay but i cant tell you guys since you guys didnt pay. Mabye i should tell all you folks so you can get it for free. Think I should? people who want to change there bb pearls trackball color just reply to me and i might give you the url to manually download it using your pearls web browser.

p.s. i got this url because when in tried downloading it from handangos site, it wouldnt work so i emailed the makers and they told me this url. The soft ware is called pimp my pearl. Dont beleive me, go to handango.com select bb pearl aand select "just for fun" and you will see pimp my pearl

leoxle, that's called pirating software. We don't allow that on this site. There is a freeware version you can find here:

The link you are referring to is in the post right above yours. it only works on the 8100, though. It doesn't work on any other device.

Sooo...since the Color Pearl only works with the 8100, and I own the 8130 which only has one white LED, does anyone know it after all this time, the marker on scotch tape holding up from the "fry" or baking effect?

To those who might still be interested in seeing other trackball disassembly pictures, not the ones once available in this thread, please check Trackball Cleaning and Disassembly w/ PICTURES @ PinStack.com.

It's great to still find people willing to share their expertise
