Default Pearl OS?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I am running 4.2.0.64 and wondered if there is a later version of the OS and if so, where I can get it from.
I have been to O2's website ad that islatest version they offer.
Am I right in thinking that provided I delete the vendor.xml once I have run the program on my PC, once I connec the Pearl it will update regardless of the vendor?

Thanks in advance.
Mike

The latest version of the 8100 code is 4.2.0.71, and it is available from Cingular.

Yes - once you delete VENDOR.XML from your PC, it will load onto the O2 Pearl.

Thanks,

Something must be wrong here, the country drop down on this page just constantly says loading?
This stops me going any further!
Can I get it elsewhere?

Thanks
Mike

Um,

I click the link you provided and it goesto a drop dwn of software. I pick Pearl Smartphone and it goes to another page where I have to fill in my details, including the country which just says loading.
When I first go to the page though, a window pops up saying "Error: Class not Registered"

Any ideas?

Thanks
Mike

Weird,

When I click download software, it opens a page for me to fill my details in and if I don't, I can't go any further.
Thanks for trying.
Can anyone else help?

Thanks
Mike

You have to fill every field, for example if it asks you for a title you need to put one int ehre , the same for company name, you can put anything in there as it does not realy matter.

That is weird. I just tried it and it appears quick. I recomend that you try to clear your browser cookies or try another PC to download the file.
