o.k. I have a HUGE issue (for me at least) I have got so many contact (and especially calendar entries) on my Palm which I want (and somewhat need) to transfer to my Pearl

Installed the BB Desktop with thee CD. Synchronized the Palm and then opened up the transfer file in the BB desktop. Both devices are plugged into the laptop and active. Click on transfer..starts transferring the calendar Palm Desktop opens...everything looks good,until 4-5 bars into it (maybe a 1/4) and that's it.. Program not responding. Alt, CTL, Del..killing applications blah blah blah..
I tried restarting, tried to have mass-storage on, mass-storage off. I even just let it do it's thing for hours ...which didn't work either.

Any ideas ? ANY??

I use to use the following process for clients and found it to yield the best results. (I'd recommend only one device connect at a time)

1. Take a deep breath, kidding!
2. Install the Outlook-Palm Conduit (may have shipped with your Palm software or you can download)
3. Sync your Palm to Outlook.
4. Install/Configure BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
5. Sync BlackBerry With Outlook.
6. your done

This process work fine for clients with anywhere from 200-2k entries for contacts and calendar.

vivamilano, my guess is there's some sort of corruption in one of the Palm databases. When I did the same thing you did it worked fine. I don't think you're doing anything wrong.

Easiest thing is probably to go with finch's suggestion. You need to switch to Outlook anyway, so may as well.
