Default Yahoo messenger and MSN messenger ?

I have cingular unlimited data plan and was wondering if using yahoo messenger or msn messenger would use data or would it use text messages?

How or where is the ota installation of these two apps?

yea was wondering this also...i also have the unlimeted plan but i cant find the apps for MSN, AIM or Yahoo to run on my Pearl

i use this beta version for a multi-im client.

THIS LINK leads to the thread where you can request to participate in beta. So far ive had a very solid test with this program and have sent them several emails and always gotten prompt responses from them. Overall, very happy

Other than that if you hit the search button you can find several programs that do what you are looking for.

It depends. If you are using the OZ messenger program (that has all the different clients in one) then it will use text. If you are using the one from BB then it will use data. Here is where to get the Yahoo: blackberry.com/YahooDownload/index.do

The link you gave for the yahoo messenger says that it is not available for cingular customers and that is who my carrier is

but did you try it out? it may still work. It didn't ask me which carrier I use to download it.
