Default email won't delete

Please Login to Remove!

I'm using v 4.2.0.67 on Rogers.

The issue just started a week or so ago that when I delete an email from the BB it doesn't delete. It goes like this: Press delete, delete-cancel, delete. Mail still there.

Now the funny part. I have my BB set to delete from my mailbox via BES also. The email is deleted from my mailbox but it still shows on the BB.

If I pull the battery and reset it works correctly for a few hours or up to a day.

I noticed that under Options I now have 2007 DST Patch. It must have come from my BESAdmin. I wonder if that is effecting the unit.

Anyone else have this issue?

If you're running App Version 4.2 I'm not sure why you got the patch, since your handheld OS was ok for DST per RIM. When you delete the message you say it gets deleted out of your mailbox, if you do a reconcile now does it remove the message then?

I tried the reconcile now and it doesn't remove the deleted email.

I just noticed another development after removing my battery. If I have attempted to delete the email from the BB (it's gone from the mailbox) then I still can't delete it after rebooting, but I can delete other emails.

I'm not sure about the patch, it just appeared. I am running 4.2.

Fact check... -->> BlackBerry
OS 4.2.1.x will have DST fix baked in.
OS 4.2.0.x devices need the patch.

I found another thread dealing with the issue. Seems the same as my icons turn blue once opened and then I can't delete them.

I tried Resolution #2, it reconciled my mailbox (got rid of the deleted messages) but trying to delete any new and read mail fails.
