does a t-mobile blackberry pearl straight out the box have 4.1??? so i can download the theme builder

No, the Pearl has 4.2. There is a theme builder for the 8100. See the Themes/Ringtones/Wallpaper forum.

I'm sorry; the Pearl does not come with v4.1.
It comes with v4.2
