T-Mobile UK & Edge Connection

Hi Guys,

Does anyone who is connected to T-Mobile in the UK have an Edge connection and if so how did you get it - i.e. are you on web and walk?

I'm just interested really i've just come back from Ireland and was able to connect to Meteor's Edge connection but was interested if T-Mobile have it up and running in the UK.

I have already looked around both on Google and on this site but nothing blatantly obvious popped up.

I'm already paying around 42 just for the pleasure of having my emails and 100 texts and 200 minutes per month - but am pretty impressed with the Pearl especially after using such monsters as the P900i etc it is a nice and easy clever little fellah.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Cheers

I was in Glasgow, Scotland and London last month and did not have "EDGE".

I think Orange are the only provider to have EDGE

I've had my Pearl a week or so now and haven't been outside the north-east much, but thus far haven't received any EDGE reception. I think ashleyneiltaylor is right that Orange are the sole UK provider.

Elcuolo, I too am happy with my T-Mo Pearl. It looks like T-Mo UK might be expensive if you want to roam for data to receive e-mails though...

As a follow up, I just looked at the T-Mo prices for roaming in the Netherlands where I am in a couple of weeks and it looks like it pans out at 7.48 per Mb which seems pretty pricey to me. Not sure how many Mb I would use just for e-mails on a four day trip, but I suppose it puts using Google Maps out of the question! :-)
