I am a very pround owner of BB Pearl on UK's o2 network.
I am going to ask you a very stupid question. As a mac owner i am used to have the dock on the bottom. How can I change that on Pearl. My current is on left hand site. and how can i move selected application to home screen?
I am also planning to get some extra software. will that slow down the Pearl, do I need large sd card for that?

There are themes around.. for instance the "T-Mobile Zen" theme that feature a home screen with something like a dock on a Mac.

Download one and install it.

Second, in order to move a selected application to the home screen you need to bump that app up on the list using "Organize Applications", located in the Options menu of your Pearl.

The additional third party software shouldn't take effect on your Pearl's performance, most don't use up too much memory.
Though you WILL see a decrease in phone performance and load times when running many multiple applications.
E.g. I often have the on board MP3 player running, while using Opera Mini, an IM instance, and texting all at the same time.

However, one thing to note is that applications cannot be stored and run from your MicroSD card... applications can only be installed on the phone's memory.

How do you install these themes and what are all the files that are necessary for the installation?
