When I synced my Outlook contact folders, they have all come over in a single listing. Is it possible to set up so that the contacts on the BB are in the same folder groupings that i have in Outlook.

Nope. One contact folder on your BB.

You can however create "groups" on your BB and selecting contacts. It is not the same as a folder in Outlook, in other words you can send an email to X Group from your BB, but you cannot view a separate folder of those contacts on your BB. Does that make sense, hoping not confuse the issue... ?

Ok sorry may have been my badly worded question. if i create groups eg Family, I can put all my family contacts in that group, but can i then remove them from my main listing - i.e. so I have just x number of groups containing all my contacts.

no, not on your BB. All your contacts are in one folder. If you create a
"group" of Family, it only LINKS the email back to the actual contact record in the address book.
