PhoneHand: "it shows i have a message then it dissapears....."

Isn't that the way it should be... notice disappears after you read it?
What am I missing here about your problem?

You're having memory leak (or too much stuff installed on your BB.) Get rid of extra ringtones, pictures, etc. Check 3rd party apps that you may not need.

To check your memory go to >Options >Status. Anything less than about 10,000,000 bytes free and you're going to have trouble.

Search "Memory Leak" on the forums and you'll come up with lots of info.

Later versions of the OS helped this issue, as well. The latest is 4.2.0.71. I'm running this version and had no issues with memory leak.

The SD card has nothing to do with the memory leak issue that JC speaks of...

i had the same thing and so did everyone i work with cause i work for Tmo and i can tell you, you need to free up memory with a memory card as well as delete all the programs you arn't using! the number one thing i see is people dowloading everything but the kitchen sink to their pearl and expect it to just not have any problems! Check the memory, get a card ,and delete un needed programs!
