Default how to get attachments?

Can someone please point me to how to get an attachment from an email sent to my phone ?

According to the type of attachment, put you cursor over the attachment and click Open Attachment. If you told what kind of attachment it would, we might could help more. Some you CAN open and read are jpg, doc, xls, and a few other files types. Others may require a 3rd party application.

OH I see.
I highlighted the attachment but didn't get any option that I could see, about opening it. I tried everything, clicking and scouring the menus etc..

It's a .wav file.
