Would I be charged a per kilobit rate for web surfing on a non-blackberry? Or would it be web as usual? I know this is possible on TMobile from the posts here, just curious as to how Cingular registers this. According to their customer service, Cingular would bill me per kilobit usage if I were to use a Blackberry BIS plan on a non-blackberry phone. |
Not possible.
To use data on a non-Blackberry phone you would just use Cingular's Medianet, and can either buy a bundled amount of data service or be charged per KB.
Blackbery's BIS is a completely different service, available only to Blackberry devices.
