All of my text messages were deleted from my phone not just the ones from 30 days ago but all of them and evry 5 minutes or so it keeps deleteing them and it is also deleteing my recent call list i checked all the settings and everything is right so idk whats going on, anyone know??????

check your free file memory: options... status... and make a note of it.
pull your battery for 30 seconds, reinstall and recheck your memory.

Does RIM have any plans to fix this? I bought a MicroSD card so it would not happen to my Pearl but it still does.

I have 11 MB free and even after days of use it might drop to 6 or 7 MB. Isn't that enough to keep a dozen emails in my inbox and a few dozen entries in my phone log?

At what point does the OS 'decide' to start deleting? 7MB? 6MB? FTW?

Dunno the answers to your questions, but I can tell you that I have ~38MB free after a reset and I have a fair amount installed. I've never lost email, ever.

I just can't figure out why the OS doesn't warn you first.

Maybe the new OS fixes this?
