Hi, for some reason I can't get my BB Messenger to work properly. I am able to send and receive PIN messages but when I try to add a contact into my BB Messenger contacts list by sending a message to their email, the contact stays in my "pending" folder, as opposed to my "contacts" folder, and its been a few weeks. Am I doing something wrong, or missing a step?

The user on the other end HAS to accept your invitation and then it adds them to your BB Messenger contacts. You may need to open a can of whup a$$ on your slack friends and get them to respond (and remember BB Messenger ONLY works with other BB user via their PIN), so if you sent the request invite to non-BB users... they can't accept or respond.

haha, so i opened up the can of whup a$$, and my friend has the 8700 so it turns out that when she tries to accept the add, it asks her to download a program to use messenger.. is it supposed to do that?

Yep, she can't can't be your BB Messenger buddy if she doesn't have the program installed.

Exactamundo vk1234. Both parties must have the program, and the recipient of the request must "accept."

I m having the same problem.

My buddy DID accept, and it still shows up in the 'pending' list. matter of fact I tried with 2 bussies who were sitting in front of me, and they both still show up in as pending..
any idea?

I am also having problems with the PIN blackberry messenger.

I have had a blackberry for a long while, but no one i know has, so i never used it before, now a few of them do.

I added there PIN to there address book, and added them to blackberry messenger, which it says pending. They recieved an email that looked like this:

Trudgy would like to add you to his or her BlackBerry Messenger Contact List.

Once you've installed BlackBerry Messenger, return to this message to accept this request.


now there is no where to click accept in that email message, and they have a 7100 that came with the messenger, I have the pearl so we both have the BBmessenger program.

I can click on his name in pending and send him a PIN and it works, he can do the same, but the names will not go into the correct group, and it doesn't show anything in current converstations( the PIN just goes to our email folder)

any ideas? thanks
