Default Todo App Causes Phone to Lock Up

My phone stopped sending/receiving data a few days ago, and after a call with Vodafone UK, they suggested that I performed a hard reset, so that my phone would receive the latest service book.

I removed the battery as instructed, removed the sim card, replaced the battery and then waited for the phone to boot up. When this completed, I once again removed the battery and then replaced the sim card, put the battery back in, and waited for it to boot up again.

When the phone booted, I got the "how are you?" message, and some system messages (exact details that I've since forgotten), but suggested that something had been updated. I also noticed the addition of a blackberry help button, that used the browser, and a mobile email settings button.

The application that I use the most is the Todo application, unfortunately since this upgrade, now when I open this application, the phone locks up and I have to remove the battery etc! I'm currently stuck without my Todo list!

Has anybody else experienced this? And (hopefully) have a solution?
