Question Suretype u or i

Please Login to Remove!

I tend to use the abbreviation 'u' for 'you', particularly if sending SMS. Problem is 'u' and 'I' are on the same key. I type a whole sentence and discover that the u and Is are all mixed up and have to roll back and fix them. I've searched this forum and the Blackberry tips ... does anyone know a shortcut/better habit so I can tell the device when I really mean I versus u!

Thanks for any hints in advance!

When you type the letter "I" use the scroll ball to move over and select "u". Once you do this enough times within the same message, it will automatically put the "u" first.

Can't you just add it in the " custom word list"?

I had the same problem. Now I just put you instead of u. Turned out to not be a big deal after i got used to it.

Type i a few times in a row and then it should start using i by default instead of u.
