Default What do I use my Dell Axim for now???

Please Login to Remove!

Now that I finally have a pearl I'm using it for contacts, calendar, tasks, memos... basically everything I used to do with my PDA.

I still have a really cool Dell Axim x51v but what do I use it for now? I'm afraid it'll sit in a drawer and collect dust until it becomes obsolete lol.

Post it in the for sale area of this site OR toss it in a box and store in closet... I have a 7100, a 7105, and a 7290 collecting dust in said box!

I use mine as a bit of a skype mobile phone. Makes calling other countries very inexpensive.

I had a similar problem..

My solution was to buy a Rockford Fosgate 3.SIXTY.2 Sound processor for my car.
It uses a program from your PDA to controll everything about your sound system (crossover, EQ, levels, delay) from your PDA via bluetooth.

so basically my Axim stays in my car waiting patiently for me to need to make a change to my audio setup.

If it was bigger and heavier you could use it as a paperweight, or a doorstop.

Perhaps a speed bump.

Ihave the same combination of devices BB Pearl + Axim x51v.

I still use my Ax for watching movies, browsing the net (wifi at home and hotspots), using skype, online TV, radio, playing games etc., etc....

I was in the same boat - the ONLY thing keeping me with the Axim was EBooks, but you can now do them on the BB. I just sold mine on EBay!

Then again I forgot that an Axim had wifi... is it able to do streaming video.. if so that'd be the only reason I'd keep one around... I was actually going to buy one before I had my Pearl, but now that I do have my Pearl not much need for one hehe.

OK, I don't have BB yet. (Waiting for the 8820). The Axim won't be replaced. There are a lot of apps I use everyday that aren't on the BB platform.

You can use TCPMP and stream video, listen to the radio, anything you like.
