you can probably reinstall the OS but I would return it too if you just got it.

Yes if you just got it from the carrier then I'd agree have it replaced...

If it's used with no warranty then try this:

Download Jl_Cmder (it's in my sig)... Download and install (if you don't already have these) Desktop Manager and The Handheld OS from your carriers web site. Plug the BB into the PC and run Jl_Cmder. This will wipe the device of everything!

Open Desktop manager and select Application Loader... Follow the instructions and you should be good to go!

i downloaded Jl_Cmder and tried to wipe out the phone. I get to the part where i have to type "blackberry" to wipe it out, i click enter and it goes to some screen (Too fast to read what it says) then goes back to the main menu. I look back at the phone and its still the same? Am i doing something wrong? the computer recognizes the blackberry is connected. Maybe the Jl_Cmder doesnt?

Is desktop manager open? If so close it out... Remove battery and run Jl_Cmder again... If it works correctly the BB should reboot to a white screen and stop...
