need help downgrading
I need help with my wifes pearl, ever since we upgraded the firmware to 184.108.40.206, she has been having A LOT of glitches and issues with the text messaging, and with the blackberry messenger. So I would like to know how to downgrade to Tmobile's version firmware 220.127.116.11? If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated, so we can take it back to Tmobile.
Go into the Control Panel on your PC and delete the .71 firmware. Then you'll need to re-install the .64 version. Start up Desktop Manager and it should prompt you. If it doesn't, you can manually go into the App Loader.
I'm pretty sure that was how I did it before. Give it a shot, if I'm wrong, I know a Search will lead you to a correct answer. Good luck.
Please read through the information below before you authorize the download.
Download For: RIM BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8100™

Date Updated: 02/16/07
Size: 68 MB
Notes: To find the the Handheld Software version:
1. From the Home screen, enter the 'Option' menu
2. Scroll down and select the 'About' menu. The third line down will tell you the software version.
3. If your device software version is not 22.214.171.124, then please download and install the most recent software version
Before you install the handheld software upgrade you must have the latest Desktop Manager Software version installed.
Before you upgrade your handheld, be sure to back up any important information from your BlackBerry handheld to your desktop to preserve your handheld data. You can then restore the information on your handheld after the upgrade is complete.
If you have applied the Daylight Savings Time patch already, you must reapply it after downloading any new handheld software.
I'm on Cingular, and I have BB OS version 126.96.36.199 platform 188.8.131.52...
