Default Squeaky Keys

I have about 2 buttons that consistently squeak on my Pearl. I e-mailed T-mobile to see what they had to say about it and they said was that its common and if i wanted to "dampen" the noise to just buy a case. I know others have had this problem and I was wondering what solutions you came up with.

My SPACE key just started squeeking too... I just noticed it like 2 days ago. I've only had the phone for about a month too. A little annoying since all the other keys work fine, but I dont think I would send it in for a replacement because who knows what the replacement pearl will be like since they're all refurbs...

this happened to me too. I used the 30 day return policy by t-mobile and got a new phone because of this problem and call connection issue. new phone doesn't squeek.

My solution was just to live with it. My first 8100 had the dodgy battery door so I changed it after a few days. This one was made in Canada. The new one has a perfect battery door but unfortunately has a squeaky "OP" key at the top right. This one is made in Hungary.

Maybe I should just have kept the old one and got the Seido battery door!
