Question restoring emails from old device to new 8100

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I am having some problems. Just got my new 8100. Everytime i backup from old blackberry, everything looks ok for a few mins then it locks up completely. After I remove battery all old emails have been deleted. All SMS and other info is still there. Is it maybe because I am transfering about 10mb of mail info...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Sorry, you aren't transferring ANY emails--BB Desktop Manager does not transfer or sync emails and messages, only calendar, tasks, memos and addressbook.

Your hangup is likely in the addressbook. Look in DM for the error log to tell you which contact is the problem child and you'll likely find it has some odd data in the first, last or company name field, or no data at all in those fields. Fix it and try again.

I believe that he's referring to doing a backup/restore, not a sync.
