I have a 2006 BMW. The phone works, but the phonebook will not transfer over. It starts the process and after it completes. Only the first two contacts are listed from the A's. Thats it! Any ideas????

I have a 2006 Bimmer and 8700r Blackberry with bluetooth and the phone transfers ok. I am running Blackberry software version 4.1.0.351 on Rogers. What version are your running?

I have an 06 Bimmer too and have major issues with my pearl. I think a lot depends on which BMW computer you have. It seems that those with I-drive have better functionality. I don't have I-drive and have similar issues. My phone connects only about 30% of the time. Basicaly you will have problems because phone is not 100% compatible. I know of someone who had the same problem as you with the contacts only partialy listing. What they did was delete any groups that they had. Do you have any groups in your contact of just all individual names? This could be the problem.

I have a 2006 BMW 645 with I-Drive and the Bluetooth works quite well with my 8100. My phonebook gets transferred no problem even though there are over 250 entries. I do have some issues with the Top 8 feature as it does not seem to be accurately showing me the top 8 called numbers (it seems to always be showing some number I dialled once 5 weeks ago, for example!) but I can live without that feature.

Not sure what to tell you other than to make sure you have the latest Firware downloaded to your car from BMW. I have had, in the past, problems with a Sony Ericsson phone and the car and it turned out to be a SW issue on the BMW. Once they upgraded it, the problem disappeared.

I just picked up my 2007 335i sedan today and my Pearl works just fine. I haven't tried to transfer my phonebook yet and don't know how =\

Call your SA at BMW. Bluetooth and the phone book work fine in my 2006 with my 8100.

I currently work for a BMW dealer in the UK.

The problem is with the Car, not the phone. Basically your ULF module has old firmware on it.
Your phone book will transfer with the latest ULF module fitted.

A friend of mine has an 07 Lexus and has the same problem. His work around was to use a different phone (A Sony Ericksson) to transfer the phone book. You could do that once a month to keep the car's phone book current.

Granted, its a hassle to sync a second phone every month and then sync the car, but at least its possible.
