Exclamation Calendar is out of sync after DST patch - 03-20-2007, 05:00 AM

Folks:

I hope somebody can figure this out. I am running Cingular v.71 OS, after downgrading from TIM Italy v.102. Supported by BES. Outlook has been patched for DST. "update device time" box is unchecked on desktop manager. With the DST patch, appointments in 8100 show up 2 hours behind now. Without the DST patch, appointments in 8100 show up 1 hour behind (ie.. at 2 pm rather than 3 pm).

I have done battery pulls, desktop syncs, setting changes to wireless sync, etc. nothing seems to help. Any ideas on how to fix?

Firmware v.71 is already DST compliant, but applying the patch shouldn't hurt. (of course, if you have a RED Pearl, the latest firmware is v.73!).

Patched OUTLOOK? AGGGG - what a mess! Patch the OS, sure, but the Outlook patch was a mess! Have you checked your dates in Outlook? That's probably where the problem is. In testing the Outlook patch caused so many problems and was logistically unfeasible, so we never distributed it! You may want to try removing it!

Double check the time zone setting (Settings --> Options --> Date/Time) on your BB, and have it sync with the Network rather than BlackBerry.

If your running any version of Desktop earlier than 4.2 SP1, make sure you have syncing your Desktop's time with your BlackBerry!

Given the strange background of your device, if all else fails you may want to completely wipe it with JL_CMDR and reload the OS from scratch.
