Default Utility for Pearl? Caller ID to Bluetooth?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone seen a utility for the Blackberry which announces the caller ID information through the Bluetooth headset? The closest thing I’ve seen is something called “Holler ID” but it just vocally announces as a ringtone from what I can tell. It looks like the Blackberry 8800 has this ability but I can’t find an add-on for any other model.

The voice dialing feature of the Pearl works through the Bluetooth headset which is very cool, but it would be even better if there were something that actually announced the caller ID info through it as well.

I've searched and searched and even posted the same question, but no one has been able to identify a solution or program

Bummer. I would not think it too difficult to make... especially when people are willing to buy it... i have heard other carriers like verizon having this capability on thier phones.

I know I would buy that. It kinda defeats some of the handiness of the Bluetooth if I have to look at my phone to see who's calling.

its not just that you have to look at the phone. If your driving or in my case, on my motorcycle, i would love to know who is calling to see if i have to pick up the call while i am riding. other phones have this option, it is just a cool feature i think.

I'm on the road all day and when I'm on site, I often don't have the ability to look at my phone, so yes, it would be convenient and safer.
