Talking Movy.tv launches Java client

Please Login to Remove!

I checked movy.tv today and the Java client has finally been launched. No, it doesn't work on the pearl correctly(I tried), but the Blackberry client's launch date is the 26th. Finally, Streaming Video! Apparently it is about 15 f.p.s. There is a demo of it working on an 8700 on their site. They also have some cool partners in their Portals. The Archeology's Channel, Fight Network, Eye Music Network, etc etc. The website is www.movy.tv and the java client download link is www.movy.tv/m/movy.jar if you want to try it on another phone

IT'S OUT!! I just downloaded and am going to try some videos. Finally STREAMING videos to your blackberry! to download go to movy.tv/m from your bb browser. I hope it works. This is not an 8100 exclusive btw. They claim it also works on the 8800 and the 8700.

Boy this is one of the roughest "1.0" apps I've ever seen on a handlheld, it's more like a 0.2 or something. The UI is rough (when it works) and I can't even play a video -- it times out buffering (and it exits itself when that happens). Deleted.

gah I thought we finally had streaming video...mine times out too. hopefully someday a great programmer will give us the gift of streaming video....until then i'll keep watching this program. maybe they'll update it... I guess when they say early beta version, they actually mean early beta version...

They just released a new version and IT WORKS!! STREAMING VIDEO delivered to your blackberry. Life is good
Well, life is better at least. The video is still laggy, but the audio works. At least it's a start.

Ha and this is 1.01. You should've seen 1.0...Wouldn't even play a video.

Would not work for me. Deleted.

I think we need to wait a few more years for someone to come out with
good streaming for the Pearl. Little tired of all these false starts, beta
or otherwise.
