Going on the post that had you use a permanent marker over the LED that the trackball has, I followed the instructions to dissasemble the Pearl on the forums, and did the same to my keypad LED's.



Its hard to get a photo that correctly renders the colors, but I would say this is pretty close. Kinda cool if you want to be a bit different from the rest of the pearls, I also did the red trackball LED mod to my phone. Let me know what you think! It looks a bit pink in the photo, in person its more red.

So, you can make it whatever color you can change the trackball to?

It is changed from a sharpie so basically it is like coloring over a light bulb, since it is on led then it wouldn't be permenent and you can whipe it off with alcohol or something.

is there a way to get that theme, but have it so the "main" screen just has a few on the left? and not cluttered until you hit the option button?

I was wondering the same thing...it would be really cool if the screen wasn't cluttered.

the i phone theme starts out with the 6 icons on the left side like the t mobile dimension zen but when you hit the menu or the applications option then it looks like the screen above. there is a thread that has the i phone zen download on it.

how long have u had this color? If I remember correctly, the people in the trackball coloring thread had probs with the color fading with time. any such issues here?

I colored mine trackball blue and it has faded a little but not that much to make a big difference you can still tell it is blue. I think that when the sharpie drys it get lighter but it is a pretty cool mod

where can i get that theme for my blackberry pearl? can i download it somewhere on my pc and transfer it to my phone?

it's the iphone theme... do a search with the themes "iphone theme" and see what will turn up... if i wasn't in a lazy mood i'd do it for you =D

Ha. i wish that was the case...but it's internally blue. the blue LED is on ratrher than white
