Before I switched to Cingular, I had an LG phone that allowed me to record conversations. Very handy. I can't find that option on the Pearl, however. I've just been using my handheld record to do the job for now.

Please, if you want to go on a tirade about the legality or morality of such a thing, move on. I don't want to hear it. I have a crazy ex-wife who has been making some serious threats and I want to record it. In the state of Colorado, it is 100% legal so long as at least one party in the conversation consents to monitoring.

I've tried, but haven't been successful. There is a program called VR+ that will record, but will not record phone conversations. You can start the recording, exit the app, then call someone. But you can't understand a word the other person says because the sound is all distorted and the recording only records you.

This is the only recording application I've been able to find so far. There is also a small recording software somewhere already on the phone. I beleive it is for email and I've never even tried to use it so...

I think that there was something that allowed this in the aftermarket section but I'm not quite sure anymore. Anyways what you could do is that if you have an auxilary and an adapter you could record it through that and that would be the only thing I could think of since I really don't remember this option, or the link of the aftermarket.

The only thing I can think of is try to find a jack like the one on the stereo headphones. Then you can split out the audio, one to a headphone, one to a recorder. It might be easier to modify a set of the headphones by cutting one of the earbuds off and solder a jack to the wire to plug in to your recorder.
