i know there is already a thread for this but i searched high and low but couldnt find it again so sorry for posting it again. My question to you guys is this... is there anyway to use a fm transmitter and connect it to your pearl and have it play music from your phone to the radio? I could have sworn many people said yes in the other post but i bought an fm transmitter and i had no success.

Shouldn't it be as simple as connecting the adapter to phone, and the other end of the adapter to the FM transmitter? I have an FM transmitter somewhere... I'll dig it up and find it within the end of tomorrow

Are you using an adapter? If so test it to see if it works with anything else like a set of headphones or something. I'm not positive, but I think I read somewhere that the adapter has to have the three small rings on the piece that goes into the phone. If it only has 2 it won't work right. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

Yes, you can if you get a good fm transmitter. Most of the cheap ones I found, it's junk. You hook the fm transmitter into the earphone jack of the phone. You probably need to get a adapter to make it work though.

The one fm transmitter that works really good is this. I know, it's pricey.

Thanks everyone for all the help i boight the fm transmitter at radio shack and tried it in the parking lot no luck what do you mean by the adapter. and i will look into the 3 prong idea.

In the first link some people talk about how these might be the only ones available for the Pearl. In the second one there are links to 3 different adapters from Seidio. Notice how they each have 3 small RUBBER RINGS on the plug. May be your only hope. I'm not sure if many adapters work with the pearl. Not to say that it will work with your fm transmitter as I think the cell phone signal might interfere with the fm signal. But I really am not positive about that. It might work fine. Maybe you could use the second one with the answer button and microphone piece to answer a call and you could hear them with your car speakers. Kinda like with bluetooth. Let us know what happens.
