Question Deleting Email Accounts Off Of Used Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

My friend purchased a used Pearl that has 3 of the persons emails accounts on it. How do we get them off? A backup and restore just restored them. A wipe was uesless as the restore put them right back. He even activated his own BIS through Tmobile and the accounts are still there. thanks

Delete the Service Books. Look under Options / Advanced / Service books. You should be able to see them and delete them.

One of the accounts wont come off! I deleted the service book, and did a hard reset, but it still remains!

Is it a Blackberry address or another email address?

If you have BIS, you need to go into your BIS website, and delete the account from there. When you update it, the BIS server will send/remove a service book from your device. That's the proper way to remove an account.

The old owner needs to remove the e-mail account(s) from the BIS account they set up when they had the device.
If you're unwilling to contact the old owner, you can try contacting the carrier. I don't think the carrier will help, but you can try.

Yes, they will come back with the restore.

Use JL_CMDER to wipe out the BB completely and reload the OS. Do not restore!
