Is there a way to transfer photos from the 8700 to the Pearl? Or even from the 8700 to the computer then to the Pearl?

Bluetooth?

Desktop Manager?

I'd try bluetooth. You should be able to connect both blackberry's and send.

With desktop manager you could put on your pc then onto the pearl.

If you need more explanation just ask.

You cannot transfer from the 8700 via bluetooth BB to BB.

If you have photos on the 8700, you can use MMS message to send the photos. You can also back up your device using Desktop Manager, and restore the photos using a Selective Restore.

Once you have them in your back up... I don't know if you can use the Media Manager application or not, you'll have to try that and see, but Media Manager will not work to get the photos off of the 8700.

I dont think you can send MMS with the 8700? At least when I clicked the wheel in it didnt give an option to send as MMS or any other option to send it. Also I backed it up and was trying to do the selective restore but didnt see an option for pictures or media on the 8700 to transfer to the Pearl.

I guess there's not a way?

Well I can send pictures via MMS from my 8700g. Perhaps MMS is not enabled from your carrier, some are not automatically and you may be charged for MMS over and above SMS.

About the Restore, I don't know where they reside, but I do know that a few weeks ago when I did a complete restore of my device (old 8700 to new 8700), it restored my pictures. You are correct, there is no listing for "pictures" or " images" or "Wallpaper". I wonder if they are under RMS Databases?

Maybe someone else will know.

Thanks for the help....I will try the RMS Databases when I get home tonight and see if that's it.
