Default Message will not delete from home screen

Please Login to Remove!

I received a text yesterday and deleted it but it still shows as a new message on my home screen. Any idea on how to remove it?

Claw, try this:

Make sure that message has not been saved accidentally as a SAVED message, by going to Messages, View Saved Messages. If it is there, delete again from that folder.

If it persists, with the unit on, pull the battery to reboot the blackberry and see if it is still there. There is a more involved next process should it persist, which involves backing up the BB, and wiping/restore.

If it remains after your reset, it may be what I call a "ghost message." Only way to remove them is to wipe and reload. It's annoying, but there's no obvious other fix yet.

I have that happen all the time. I am using the Today Plus theme, which will show your last message on the home screen.

I just pull the battery and it goes away. BUt, it is def annoying.
