Im having problems with my blackberry pearl after syncing with computer and such. Alot of of applications arnt working, and I want to do a wipe of the phone. Its asking for the wipe code. Ive tried several different standard codes from other phones but its not wipeing the pearl. What is the blackberry 8100 pearl wipe code?

Are you on a BES with work, is it a bussiness phone?

There is no "code", per se, there is a procedure. From Options, go to "Security Options", then "General Settings", then bring up the menu, where you'll see an option for "Wipe Handheld". You'll get a warning message, then you'll be told to type in "blackberry" to confirm. That'll do it.

When I do the 'wipe device' It has me type in the word "blackberry" try that maybe. Also, I have the same issue, and a wipe does not really solve it, all it does is clear emails and contacts, all your apps and settings stay the same. I would like to do a wipe too, am having all sorts of issues with PC.

If you want to completely wipe the BB you'll have to use JL_Cmder.

This will wipe everything and then you can re-install your OS.
