Default Using "0" in password triggers emergency call?

Please Login to Remove!

Our company has a default password template for Blackberrys that includes the number 0. However, when we're typing the password and we input the number 0, we get the prompt to "click OK to place an emergency call". We have to hit back/escape to go back to the password screen to continue. Is there a way to make the device recognize that we're typing a password, so it will ignore the emergency call feature?

Interesting! Sounds like a core issue w/the OS, change the passwords to avoid it (yes this was already stated by cbewing, just reiterating it):

Yes, it is only with the Cingular 8100's that we're seeing the problem. 8700's and others will work fine. I guess we'll have to have a new standard for the Pearls.

thanks.
