Default mac users: how do you backup your 8100?

I know rim desktop manager software lets PC users backup their phone onto their PC, but I can't find that feature on pocketmac. Is there another software for this? or is it possible to backup on SD card?

I use PocketMac to sync contacts, calendar, tasks and notes. However, I would like to backup to an SD card as well. I used Sprite Backup when I had a Treo. It was great because I restore from a previous backup without the need for my laptop.
