Are we stuck with the speeds that we have now or can/will the speeds go up like cable and dsl?

broadband speeds for wireless devices is not that far off but don't expect it to be everywhere anytime soon.

For T-mobile, yes, that's the fastest you can get. I heard Verizon is the fastest wireless phone right now. But of course, you have to pay lot more.

Ericsson is working on a NEW software implementation to significantly BOOST EDGE data speeds on the network. Not sure if current phones will be able to see the advantage IF a carrier decides to implement it.
