Default Can you use GMail via internet rather than email?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I've just bought a Blackberry phone (using Orange in the UK) and I'm trying to setup email. I wondered if it would perhaps be possible to use Gmail through a browser rather than having to setup email?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

you can have your gmail setup as an email account, you can download the Google Gmail program ( Gmail ), or you can access it from the web ( should work at http://m.gmail.com )

That's great thanks. There's an extra charge for Blackberry email so I guess this way I would just need to setup the Internet browser instead?

You can goto Google Mobile from your Blackberry's internet browser and downkload the Google package for free. It includes Google Search, Maps, official Mobile GMail program, and News. It uses data so make sure you have an internet plan from your provider.

You need a Blackberry Data Plan no matter what. It will cost you the same to have e-mail or internet. It's all or nothing.
