Default Red Messages??

Please Login to Remove!

Me and my wife both have blackberry pearls. We both work at the same place and have our email accounts setup the same. However, on her phone some of the emails she gets show up in red text on the message screen and for the same emails mine do not. I have never seen red emails on mine just hers. Does anyone have any ideas? We are both running the .73 software from cingulars site.

Thanks, Garrett

This is the first time I've heard that. Is it every email she gets?

I just checked out CA spam catcher and the emails are not located there. They are showing in outlook as well (we are on an exchange server but setup using the webmail configuration). I have attached a picture of what it is doing. I know that PINs show up as red but these definetly are not PINs.

Default Level 1 Messages

Red messages are "Level 1" messages. Usually PIN's are by default Level 1.
I have my Pearl setup to send ALL my email messages in RED, so I can separate them on my messages from phone calls.....
If you are intested in doing this your self, just login to your BIS, and go to the properties of each email address, add a filter call it red. Apply filter "when all new mail arrives" then below set as "level 1"
From then on all emails should come up red!

Can you force an outgoing email to be level 1? I don't want my emails red, I want emails i send to other people to be red. can you make them other colors?

received the first one like this last night*, from a hotmail** account, and was from a subscribed mailing list.

i expect the red font to label the message as "not addressed specifically to you" rather than identifying it as a Level 1 message (though we'll have to see how this activity continues).

* my 'berry has been running TiM OS since its release

** go T-Mobo!

I got my first one yesterday. It was the NORML newletter. Odd that as it usually comes in regular.

I received one yesterday from someone I get email from quite often. This is the 1st time it's shown up in red for me as well. I bet since the emails are pushed from BB, somehow they got tagged inadvertently.

This also happened to me yesterday. I received a message in RED around 8 pm from someone who emails regularly (never in RED before), but it appeared in my Yahoo inbox around 4 pm. i can't figure out why it's in RED. This person sent 3 other messages to me yesterday, 2 before and 1 after this one, but none of those showed up in RED or with any delay. ???
