Default Speck see thru case (plug)

Please Login to Remove!

I've been searching for a case for my Pearl ever since I took delivery. Came close to getting the Seidio rubberized case and the only thing holding me back was the need to add a screen protector.

After reading a number of threads on this forum I decided to go for the Speck see thru case with belt clip holster. Ordered it from CompUSA business site (never knew there was such a site) and took delivery today.

The case is tiny! You'd never know it was on the phone. All the holes line up perfectly and the screen protector rocks! It does not distort the screen but it does offer a bit of unwanted reflecting at certain angles but this is to be expected from anything which covers the screen.

The belt clip (nothing protrudes from the back of the phone!!!) is actually robust. It has 2 "+" clips which grab the sides of the phone (the case has 2 "+" female indentations) and it really holds it on there!

I've owned many cases, holsters, belt clips and this is definitely the finest I've seen. I'd rate it a 9.9 out of 10. It would be a 10 if they offered a non skid rubber piece on the back of the case so it would not slide around on my dash but I have an easy fix for this.

This looks like the case he is talking about: Speck Products - Cases for BlackBerry Pearl

Does look pretty clear to me.

I'm using one of these cases and am very happy with it. I carry in my pocket, but the belt clip looks solid in case I need it.

I bought it used it for a few days and returned it. The case itself is nicely made but the belt clip is unusable. It is very hard to slip the phone into the clip and it tens to fall off at the slightest nudge. If you need a case, its great, if you need a holster, its far off the mark. I purchased a Seidio holster and couldnt be happier.

Mdonders- thanks for providing the link. The case is called a clear case but it's actually a smoke color, which I prefer for a dark colored phone or ipod.

xxaarraa - Did you have problems with the clip not staying clipped to your belt/jeans or the phone actually staying attached to the clip? I tried to remove the phone from the clip and found it nearly impossible unless you pulled the two tabs back to release the phone. Normal tugging and proding will not cause the phone to come loose.

I think the entire clip assembly will break prior to the phone popping out following a good jarring.

fyi - I don't have a Seidio case/holster so I can't compare the two.
