Default Speakerphone/Ringer not working

Please Login to Remove!

As of this morning i noticed that neither my speakerphone nor any of my ringtones are working!! I thought that i might have just changed the profile or one of the settings, but i could find no evidence that this had been done. I also tried a reset to see if that would fix it, but to no avail. Now i am afraid that i may have damaged the speaker somehow Has anyone experienced this? Anyone know how to check the speaker? Is it possible to fix the speaker? I haven't yet torn into the phone to check it out, but I will most likely be doing that over the weekend.

Here's someone that bought one for cheaper because the speaker wasn't working and they were able to get it working.

If you take apart your pearl though, you might void warranty. So I would only do this if your pearl is not still under warranty.

EDIT:Can somebody tell me why my above link has a red dotted line beneath it?

im gonna go check w/ my cingular store about the warranty and if they won't help me then i'll take it apart and check out the speaker.

well cingular wasn't much help...
after a master reset, they agreed that it was the internal speaker that went bad and not a software problem, so now i wait on the new pearl to arrive...which i guess isn't so bad after all
