I got my Jabra C220s today and they sound good, but the button doesn't work like it should. Instead of working as a play/pause button while listening to music it stops sound in the left speaker and I only hear music out of the right speaker. If I hit it again I hear a lot of static and sometimes it switches back to both speakers. Also it doesn't enable voice calling when on the home screen. I've done a SoftReset. I contacted the ebay member I purchased from. Has anyone had this problem?

that head set is not compatible with the 8100. You can go to jabra.com and check the compatibility guide if you like but the 8100 is not listed for that head set

Thats not true. I use the C220s everyday. The button does work as a play/pause button while listening to music. I've never experienced the stopping sound in the left speaker and only hearing music out of the right speaker problem. If your still within the return period, I would do so if I were you. I also received a defective one the first time around. Good luck.

No one has said that jabra.com does list the 8100 as compatible. You are 100% correct that they don't, but just because they don't list it doesn't mean it doesn't work. I just know that mine works fine.

hmm...i ordered mine a few days ago...i hope the one i get works! how's the sound quality? how's the microphone? too sensitive? not sensitive enough? just trying to get a bit of feedback...

The ebay member I bought from says they'll send me another set for only a shipping and handling charge of $4.00 and I can keep the other set. I'll let you know what happens.

One thing I was thinking about is that they didn't come in a tough plastic package like this:

On the bag it says: C220s Special Model 100-37650000-00.

If I do a search for this I find a bunch on ebay that say they are for the Pearl. Does anyone use some that are this model number?

I just received mine...EXACTLY the same as the one pictured above...same envelope, same little plastic baggie....and I've got the same problem with the left ear...doesn't work when I press the button. I think I'm just gonna go to Best Buy and pick up another pair, and swap them out...hopefully that'll do the trick. Dunno what's up with the batch from that eBay seller...he's an honest seller and all, and it was fast shipping, but it seems like all of the C220s from him are having that problem (atleast w/ the Pearl)...

I was planning on buying these Monday, but based from what you guys say, I might hold off. Can you recommend another good set for under $20CAD incl. shipping?

alright...i've figured out what's going on here. i just purchased a pair of Jabra C220s from Best Buy to compare with the pair that I received from the seller on eBay, and there are some differences:

first off, the pair from Best Buy WORKS! as some of the users have posted, the actual C220s from Jabra (in package) work properly...when i hit the little black button on the mic part, the music pauses, and when i hit it again, music resumes properly...in both ears.

secondly, there are minor appearance differences...on the little clip, the word Jabra should be present...on the pair from Best Buy, its embossed, but still black letters. on the pair from eBay, they are painted on, in white letters.

thirdly, the model numbers are different. eventhough they are both Jabra C220s, the ones from Best Buy are model # 100-37630000-02, and the ones from eBay are model # 100-37650000-00.

and fourthly, the 2.5mm plug is different in shape. the pair from Best Buy is a straight plug, while the pair from eBay is a right angle plug. I've posted a pic below showing the difference between the two plugs.



i dunno if the ones from eBay are knock-offs or just a different batch, but if you just want a pair of headphones and don't mind that the little black button doesn't work properly, then the price that the eBay seller has it for is great...but if you want one that works properly, gonna have to buy one from Best Buy (or some other retail place...), or atleast make sure its in the original Jabra packaging.....hope this helps and clears up the issue

I contacted Jabra support and the guy I talked to said that there is only one model of the C220s.

I'm guessing we got some Counterfeits going around.

The ebay seller I ordered from is refunding my money and said he will look into the situation some more.

I guess I'm just not destined to own a good pair of Jabra C220s.

I have talked with the company that sells them on Amazon and I'm not sure they even knew they aren't the real thing. They have said that they are going to give me a full refund. They also thanked me for the information about this issue and they said they are going to look into it.
