Ok I have looked through several pages, and I found similar problems as to what I am experiencing. I don't have the internet on my blackberry right now so I can't use the OTA install. I downloaded the zip files, extracted them into a folder so i have the .alx and .cod files. I plugged in my blackberry, opened my desktop manager, opened application loader. The colorpearl wasn't in the list already so i clicked add to add in the .alx file. when I hit add, it pops up the messages saying "no additional applications designed for your device were found".

Now I know others have had this problem but I can't seem to get around it. Does anyone know what I can do from here?

Did you read through the thread? I have personally explained it a couple of times in this very thread.

lol, yes I did read it all but like I said, Im very much a noob here and really not familiar with the phone at all. I cant even figure out how to get to my music right away every time. I have to fool around with the phone a good bit and it finally comes up. There seems to be a million things you can do with these phones and I'd like to learn them. Thanks again for any and all info and patients. Lol, it took me 3 hrs to get the unlock code in this phone. If that gives you any idea how hard this stuff is for me.

Downloaded the AutoLock program for the second time on a new Pearl and it is not working right. After the backlight goes off and I hit a key the phone should indicate that it is locked but it had an alert up saying that the program was trying to access the phone log and prompting me to give it access or not. I quickly deleted the program and tried it several days later with the same issue. Anybody else have this problem?

You have to give the program access to the phone app or it won't work. Don't worry, it's not sending your personal data to microsoft. It needs to access the phone application to know whether or not you're on the phone.

Okay well I reinstalled the program but I think I messed it up. I know what the program is supposed to do, I had it on my last Pearl but I never got the prompts on that phone that I am getting on my new Pearl which I guess is what confused me. Let me break it down.

1. First download, asks for access, I say no and delete program.

2. Second download, asks for access, I say no and check box not to ask me again. Get a new pop up that says " uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.ControlldAccessException

3. Third download, no longer asks for access to phone log, only goes to the uncaught exception popup and doesn't lock the phone.

I guess I messed up by checking the box that said don't ask again. Any ideas on how to fix this so it will work, or am I SOL?
