I was wondering the same thing but I'm sure once I read a few more threads here I'll have my answer.

As for this color application, I'm FOR SURE gona check it out as soon as I find out what OS my Pearl will have. It arrives this week and I am hopeful I can download this because it sounds cool .

OTA stands for over the air...basically downloading it through the phone and not through the computer.

Just installed and very pleased. I wish that the pearl had a built in option for the status light too. I don't really NEED all that comes with BB Alerts but I'd like to take advantage of the entire phone's capabilities.

Exclamation how to turn off white LED... - 11-26-2007, 01:19 PM

hi metsfan;
thanks a million for this great piece of code.. it works like a charm... however as you might know by now, every time you enter a custom code, the white LED is also on the whole time and it blends in to the level that the custom color does not seem to appear as its suppose to....
do you by any chance know how to fix that?
thanks for your help

I just got the color pearl app but the custom colors I put in just seem to make the trackball turn a rainball color. Anyone know why?

Have you tried just using the colors that are preloaded in the app?

Yeah I have tried all the colors that come with the app and they work pretty good...but I do have the option to custom color them and when I put the code in it just keeps turning the ball a rainbow color. Maybe im doing something wrong?

Default Operating system version? - 12-09-2007, 05:29 PM

Tks in advance for cutting a newbie a little slack; how do I determine what OS my Pearl is running? It is a black Pearl (AT&T) with silver sides and backing and though it has no model number printed on the BB itself, I am about 98% sure that the model # is 8100.

I am not a fan of how white is not a pure white. I tried to uninstall the program but once I do I have no back light for the ball.

HELP! please.

How do I get my old pure white color back?
