Could you make some more colors like pink and a light blue? A cycle of all the colors would be awsome too! Great app.

I took my Pearl apart and put colored tape over the LED's under the keypad and it came out looking pretty jazzy. Just follow the disassembly instructions in the sticky and use scotch tape colored with dry erase marker.

Now that sounds a little better, I just may have to try that... the only thing is: wont the lights be very light in color, like if I wanted blue, wont the blue be extremely light? I'm gonna try this out today.

i hate repeating my questions because people don't read....
The OTA version has to be loaded from to the phone directly. THe zip one in the original post is the one throught DM. Download the zip file, unzip it, and then use DM to put it on your Pearl.

PS you cant put apps on the media card, just media.

Correct, when you start the DM, go to Application Loader and click 'Add', then choose the .alx file from the folder you unzipped.
Sakman, just don't post rude comments just because you don't know how to load applications to your phone. I'm sure people read your post, but who really wants to help when someone is being rude?

That's not the way you do OTA installs. OTA stands for Over-The-Air. You go to the website that has the file for download via your BB Browser and download it that way.

I'd have to search but does the 8800 even have the different colored led's? I seem to remember something now about the 8800 not having the option for the ball to light different colors with mp3 ringtones. That's probably why it doesn't work.
Yes, I am still his friend, but it was a pain in the ass and surprise. Never seen that happen before.

Nice. For some reason I didn't like the other app that changes the color of the pearl. I installed it twice and just wanted to get rid of it, but this one is simple and I like it. Good job Metsfan, I love SoftReset too.

BTW I've got something I think would be cool if you could make an app to use the led on the top right of the phone as a flash light in any color you want. I did have a trial app of blinkberry that would do this if you adjusted the settings correctly, but it doesn't work at all on my replacement phone. Makes me wonder if it's hardware is setup a little different. I could tell it's a refurb.

I am sure it uses a little bit more battery power because 2 leds are lit instead of just one. But i dont think it will be a noticeable change. Prob a few mins off of the total standby and talk time.
