tqwizard, I usually don't get upset when people ask the same question over and over as it happens here often. However, your question is answered PLAINLY just two posts up from yours. You couldn't possibly post to this thread without seeing my post with the answer clearly stated.

Also, your profile says you have an 8120 and none of these trackball color apps will work on anything other than the 8100.

Put the .alx and .cod in a folder somewhere you won't delete them. Then plug in the device, open Desktop Manager and run Application Loader. Use the "Add" button and browse to the .alx file. That will add the app to the list of apps. Then finish the install. The .cod will be added to your device and you'll have the ColorPearl application.

I don't know what you mean by Desktop Manager or Application Loader, could you help me with this

This may not be the best thing for you to tackle quite yet.

If you have that issue:
uncaught exception: java.lang.Error

Go to Options >Advanced Options >Applications > then hihlight ColorPearl application, open it and Edit Permissions. Then change the permission to Allow in all connection. Save it and done. Go back to Option/ColorPearl and choose the color you want Make sure to change all connections. If you say "do not allow" then the application will not work.

If you're using OS 4.5 you shouldn't be using this application.
