I am trying to upload music to my Pearl, but it says it is too big.
How do I change that?

No it doesn't.

It says the file is bigger then the phone will allow. That it only allows media files that are under 2 kbs.

The memory that comes with the BBPearl has a limit on files, so it can only hold files about 2.7 mb in size. A media card has no such limit, so it would be wise to invest your $10-$20 in one. If not, if you look hard enough you'll find a song under the 2.7 mb limit. ;]
