A couple of question I had:

1) Anything special I should be aware of?

2) Can I have mail from yahoo and hushmail forwarded to my blackberry? if so how?

3) what is the best data plan? Can I use smartphone connect unlimited with express mail from cingular for 19.99?

Welcome to BB Forums and congratulations on your Pearl.
First thing to do is to read the Sticky Thread FAQs at the top of the General BlackBerry Discussion forum.

Second thing to do is to make sure you have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account. Not a smartphone connect whatever. A BlackBerry Data Plan.

Read up on "BIS" - BIS allows you to poll up to ten different e-mail accounts (including Yahoo) and push them to the BB. Can't speak to Hushmail as I've never used it.

Good luck.

No those aren't counted as text messages.
BBM (blackberry messenger) messages don't count towards your text message limits either.

yep, 30-34$ is what you will spend. Sucks that you have to drop that $ money extra, but what the heck you can always cancel if you do not use it enough.
