My wife and I purchased two pearls from Letstalk.com back in February and on occasion, her phone will not ring. I will call her phone and it will ring for about 3 times before going to voicemail. On her end, she does not receive the call nor the voicemail until the phone has been reset. Both a soft and hard reset seem to do the trick but I don't want to have to keep remembering to keep periodically rebooting her phone. For the most part it will work just fine then one day out of the blue (usually when I need to get a hold of her) it will start acting up.

Second question would be if phones are purchased through vendors like LetsTalk does T-mobile fix/replace phones after the 30 letstalk return period is up?

Her software is the most current 4.2.0.64 as of April 23. Any suggestions?

Did you get the extended plan through LetsTalk? TMO wont give you anything but the manufactureres warranty since it wasn't purchased through them. I would first contact LetsTalk since they were the vendor for the phone. Your phone is not having the same problem? If not it sounds like it may be a bad phone.

T-Mo will honor the warranty but they will ship you a refurbished device...

what's the warranty on the pearl through T-mob? Do they honor it even though it was purchased from some other vendor?

Gleedsta, your first line of return should be LetsTalk. They should replace it. Ask their advice to go to TMo if they refuse, remember sugar works better than vinegar at this point in dealing with them.

I had the same problem with mine and I found that the SIM card was not locked into place fully and once I took it out and reinserted it, it worked fine again.

Maybe you need to put her in your fav 5.

It seems like the phone is messed up...T-Mobile will rplc it under warranty as long as no liquid damage or pys damage...I would try a new SIM first...you have the new software so that would be the last step they would take with your kind of prob

Thanks guys. The problem hasn't happened since I posted. Go figure. She also complains that the Pearls pick up a lot of background noise. Has anyone else found that to be true?

My family has thanked me for upgrading to the Peal, because they can finally hear ME when they make a call. However, regardless of what phone I use when my boyfried uses speaker phone I can hear myself echo...

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I tried to place a call and couldn't. I finally did a soft reset and when the system came back up, I suddenly had missed calls, voice mails, and e-mails going back a couple of hours. I returned a call and the caller told me that my number had rung 10 times before rolling to VM. That's about 5 more than usual.

This is really scary; the screen and connectivity bars looked perfectly normal before the reboot.

I'll add that my memory was ok. I had done my "daily soft reset" just yesterday morning.
