Default LED Flashing; Phone not responsive.

Please Login to Remove!

I searched and came up with a couple threads about someones LED flashing constantly. Mine flashes in a certain pattern, as if to signify something.

3 flashes
1/2 second pause
2 flashes
1 second pause
restart

All of the buttons are unresponsive; I have tried hard and soft resets. I have also connected to device manager but it will not recognize it.

Any ideas?

Perhaps you missed the part where I said all of my buttons are unresponsive and resets do not work.

The screen is blank and the LED is flashing in the above mentioned pattern.

I think the poster indicated it was unresponsive, as in NOT on.

SS: According to how long you have had the BB, return it. Ask for a new one.

Otherwise, you may need to reload the OS... can you connect it to you PC via USB and does your Desktop Manager recognize the BB?

If not, read this thread, scroll down to the post by EZ Runner...

Battery should be fully charged (or close to it), and it still does this regardless if I am plugged into the wall or USB.

I followed that routine you gave me. USB shows up but when I choose it it takes me to a password screen. I don't remember setting up a password on the phone; is there a default one?

what do you mean "USB shows up"? Where is the password screen--on the BB or on the PC? At what point does this occur?

USB becomes available after I connect my BB without the battery. When I click "next" to choose the USB connection, it takes me to a screen that says my BB is password protected and to enter it to make the connection.

The BB screen is still blank at this poiunt.
